Financial Breakfast

Let’s Make Czech Money Stuff Less Confusing
online

For many expats (and especially women), money in Czechia sits in the background as a quiet worry.

  • Maybe you keep postponing looking into pensions, investments, or insurance, telling yourself you’ll do it “when you have time.”

  • Maybe you feel a bit guilty – you earn, you work hard, but you’re not sure you’re actually protecting your future here.

  • Or you feel dependent on others (partner, employer, bank advisor) and wish you could understand things well enough to confidently decide for yourself.

This session is for you if you’re tired of carrying that vague worry and want to feel calmer, better informed, and more in control of your financial life in Czechia.

Why am I doing this?

I’m a former educator and academic. Teaching has always been my way of helping people – explaining things clearly, step by step, until they feel, “I get it now.”

I’m also a feminist who deeply believes that every woman deserves financial security and freedom, regardless of where she was born or where she lives now. For me, this webinar is not a marketing trick; it’s a way to share knowledge that many women never had a chance to learn, especially in a new country and a new system.

This is my way of combining my teaching background with my commitment to women’s financial independence.

How will we do it?

My style is simple: no jargon, no talking down, no shaming.

As a former academic, I put a lot of effort into explaining clearly, using concrete examples, and checking that what I say is actually understandable and useful in real life.

You can expect:

  • Plain language, and “finance-speak” explained

  • Local context for Czech Republic, specifically for expats

  • Space to ask questions without feeling silly or behind

My goal is that you leave thinking, “Okay, I finally understand this. I know what my next step is.”

What Financial Breakfast is

It is a 60-minute online session where we go through the most common questions expat women have about money in Czechia.

I’ll share clear explanations and practical tips, and then we’ll have time for your questions, so you can connect what you hear to your own situation.

Very practical things we can talk about

“DPS or DIP… or nothing?”

What these pension products are, how they’re different, and a simple way to decide if either makes sense for you right now.

“I’m renting. Do I still need property insurance?”

When it’s useful, what it should actually cover, and what you can skip without feeling irresponsible.

“How do I even start saving and investing?”

A simple order of steps: set the secure foundation, then emergency fund, and then one straightforward investing option you can consider.

“Am I missing something important?”

Common gaps expats have—like underinsured contents, unknown fees, or unused employer benefits.

The topics are not limited to these suggestions; I'd love to address your questions (just write them in the form below). I will also answer questions in real time, but of course I can prepare better answers if I have the questions in advance.
